Welcome to my first WILDLIFE ART FOR WILDLIFE blog!

This is Chief. He was stuck in a small cage in the infamous Tiger King menagerie, where he was too weak to move for 7 days. Luckily he was rescued by the people at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Sanctuary who diagnosed his illness and set him on a course of treatment which has lead to his current good health.  He now enjoys room to roam and play.

Why I created this website.

1-THE LOVE OF ANIMALS, and their intrinsic value as co-inhabitants on this planet. As an artist, I enjoy the challenge of trying to capture the beauty of their structure, expression and behavior.

2- To give CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE.  Because I benefit from these animals, I must return the favor, especially to those which are endangered. In the same way I would pay a photographer for a reference image, or the photographer would pay a model, it’s only right to give something back to the animal.

3- To PROMOTE WORTHWILE ORGANIZATIONS. To benefit the animals in some way, I am using this site to promote organizations that advance animal welfare and wildlife conservation projects.

4- To REKINDLE HOPE. I am uplifted by people who are dedicated to helpful projects. Their stories keep me focused on solutions rather than gloom. They inspire me to contribute in my own small way. So, I offer these video stories in hopes that they’ll do the same for you.

5- To ENGAGE IN A MEANINGFUL WAY. To put my money where my mouth is, I dedicate 20% of my profits to the organization associated with each painting.

Thank you for reading my first blog entry!

(STAY TUNED! More paintings and stories are coming. If you have any requests, email me.)
